The objective of the YOUNG ICT WOMEN project is to develop the digital competences and thereby the employability of young women at risk of exclusion from the labor market.
The project brings together 10 insightful and experienced partners from 9 European countries: AMETIC – The Spanish ICT Association – Spain, Baltic Education Technology Institute – BETI, Lithuania, Creative Thinking Development – CRETHIDEV – Greece, DIGITALEUROPE aisbl, Belgium, ECDL Ireland Ltd. – Ireland, Educating for an Open Society – EOS, Romania, European Centre for Women and Technology – ECWT, Norway, FUNDACIÓN PLAN INTERNATIONAL, Spain, LIKTA, Latvia and Malta Communications Authority – Malta.
The initiative will pursue its goals through awareness raising campaigns, skills assessment, innovative partnerships with employers, development of a new on-line employability profiling tool, training and employment guidance into Digital Jobs.
The YOUNG ICT WOMEN project benefits from a 2.714.304 € grant from Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway through the EEA and Norway Grants Fund for Youth Employment and will run between September 2018 and August 2021.
