eHealth Ireland Ecosystem considers the Lighthouse Projects

The HSE and Department of Health are delighted to announce the fourth official meeting of the eHealth Ireland Ecosystem on the 1st of March 2016 at the Ballsbridge Hotel, Dublin 4. The event is facilitated by the Health Informatics Society of Ireland (HISI) and the European Connected Health Alliance (ECHAlliance).

The aim of the eHealth Ireland Ecosystem is to break down silos, transform healthcare delivery, and create economic growth. In 2015, the initial meetings of the Ecosystem took place around the topics of ePharmacy, Clinical Engagement and Electronic Health Records.

Electronic Health Records are a cornerstone of the eHealth Strategy. This next event will consider the three Electronic Health Record Lighthouse Projects around the topics of epilepsy, haemophilia, and bipolar disorder bringing together the HSE, the Department of Health, hospital clinicians, nurses, patient organisations, industry leaders, vendors, and many more, to generate a high quality set of recommendations for advancing these projects in Ireland. Expressions of interest are welcome from public, private and voluntary healthcare, industry and academia.
