The 10th Annual National Data Protection Conference took place on the 24 – 25th January 2018.
The programme included informative workshops and presentations from some of Europe’s top data protection professionals.
On the 24th of January we hosted six Pre-Conference Workshops at the Irish Computer Society. The workshops were designed to help participants become more compliant with current legislation and identify the steps they need to take to prepare for the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
The following day, Thursday 25th January, we gathered at Croke Park Conference Centre, where we heard many informative presentations delivered by leading industry experts such as John Keyes – Assistant Data Comissoner, Sheila FitzPatrick – Attorney Worldwide Expert in Data Privacy, Chief Superintendent Patrick Lordan and many more. Minister of State with special responsibility for Trade, Employment, Business, EU Digital Single Market and Data Protection, Pat Breen also addressed delegates.
The Speakers covered real-world data protection challenges and the delegates received practical guidance on complying with current Data Protection legislation.
Our flagship conference, #dpconf18 was a big success, where delegates told us that they feel more prepared for the GDPR deadline as a result.
Join us for next year’s Data Protection Conference #dpconf19 on 24th of January 2019 at Croke Park Conference Centre.
